Know Who You Are Voting For
How is your Republican Legislator voting? Some of them vote like Democrats. Some of them serve the lobbysts that flood the halls of the state house and do little for tax paying citizens. These Republicans in name only are responsible for the lack of reform, the wasteful spending, and the culture of crony capitalism. Why cannot our Republican Majority give us the free market thriving state economy we deserve? The scorecard knows.

The culture in Columbia corrupts and stifles good government. Citizens can drive the reforms in South Carolina when they can separate the facts from the propaganda.
Background:
This information is the result of more than two years effort by citizens demanding more accountability of our elected officials. First a law had to be past to require recorded votes. Next, the significant legislation had to be identified and the information compiled. Then the material had to be printed for distribution. All this was done by concerned citizens, not paid political lobbyists. All this is done to make the state better for everyone and not to benefit a specific interest.

Look for replacements of legislators that do not vote your values. The best candidate often has less financial resources than the incumbent who has special interest backers.
The SC State Senate rules that award power assignments by seniority give great advantage to incumbent Senators that serve big money interests. The cycle of getting re-elected, voting for special interests, accumulating generous funding for the next election, gaining more seniority and influence is built into the South Carolina State Senate politics. It works against honest service and rewards corruption.
Why Republican Scorecards only? South Carolina does not have Republicans pretending to be Democrats. The Scorecards reveal what Republican office holders do not vote the way their constituents expect. Real Republicans are suppose to vote for limited government and protect your liberties and property rights.
